Samuel Tunaley

b. 1845, Derby.

m. Elizabeth Jeffries 1869, Leicester.

Samuel d. 1924, Leicester.

Andrewes St. where John and his family by m(1) lived, still stands and is located close to St. Nicholas Circle, Leicester city centre.

1901 Census: John shown as "Hosiery Counterman", living at 43, Andrewes Street, Leicester. Father Samuel was living close by at number 47 with brother Henry also living in the same street with his family at Number 39.

John remarried, 1920, to Annie Hughes after the death of his first wife Edith.

This was the same year his son John Albert Jnr. married Agnes Edwards.

John was then living in the Billesdon registration district of Leicester.

N.B. "Billesdon" here refers to the registration district of Leicester/Leicetershire and not the Leicestershire village itself. "Billesdon", along with other registration districts, was abolished in 1949.
