There is a notice regarding a breakout from the Derby Gaol of one "Samuel M'Kew" - the notice is given by H. Flint, the Mayor of Derby.

A reward of ten guineas is offered for "M'Kew"'s return, additional to the twenty pounds decreed by government. Derby Mercury readers are requested to notify Thomas Hefford, the keeper of Derby gaol, should they know of M'Kew's whereabouts.

H. Flint, the Mayor, himself offers five guineas reward. For full details, click here.
