Tom Tunaley, John Tunaley’s grandson and son of John Charles Tunaley, b. 1850, emigrated
to Australia August 1911 aboard TSS Themistocles (the same year the ship was built).
Wife Margaret and one-year old William followed in the Gothic (Harland and Wolff built 1893) December of same year.
Tom emigrated with his cousin William Smith.
John Charles (b. 1909) remained in England and was brought up there by his grandparents (Margaret Simpson's parents - William Rodger Simpson and Sarah Simpson) living, in 1911, at 8 Dargai St., Clayton, Manchester.
Tom and Margaret founded the Australian Tunaley family
