Census information regarding wife/ children indicates Matthew went unaccompanied.
* This "Lusitania" preceded the ship that was built 1907 and torpedoed 1915.

Matthew Henry Tunaley

Matthew d. Queensland, 12/7/1899.
In 1871, Matthew declared bankrupt although this ruling later annulled.
It is noted that on daughter Annie's marriage certficate of 1897, Matthew
("Joiner and Builder"), is given as "deceased".
Yet, according to records, in 1897 Matthew married one Mary Mason in
a small townshp called Drake, in N.S.W., Australia, close to the
Queensland border. This was two years before Matthew ended his days at
the Toowoomba (S. Queensland) Hospital close Brisbane and over the
border from Drake.
No record has been found of a divorce between Matthew Henry and
Mary (Stafford).

A document compiled by Terry Foenander, states that a Matthew "Tunnalley" died 12/7/1899 at the Toowoomba (S. Queensland) Hospital aged 50. Matthew admiitted to hospital 7/5/1899. Qld.
Death registration 1899 has been sighted in Australia confirming Matthew Henry Tunaley died Queensland that year.

The Observer, Adelaide, May 12, 1906:
"Mr. J. Knsetzsch, in New South Wales, sends tidings of Matthew H. Tunaley, asked for by daughter Annie, in Manchester (December 24)".
The Evening Journal, Adelaide, 3 Feb. 1912:
"TUNALEY (Matthew H.), builder, left Manchester for Australia in 1880. Daughter Annie asks.(From Lloyd's newapaper, December 31, 1905)".
